and why would they make the poor luggage guy carry an LV handbag...a bit distasteful in the sense that its such an ugly contrast b/w the haves n the have nots ...Look at the poor man. Their whole life worth is less than that bag

Wait are these poor people or inmates at a prison? Their jumpsuits make me think inmates.. weird. Another question - are they even allowed to use LV luggage in their ads?
This lawn collection looks kind of similar to last years... I'll wait until I see the full collection.

i also dnt like their advertise this year...its really distasteful...they shuld concentrate jus on their prints...
why do they need LV and poor old man to advertise their prints...
really sad that they chose such kind of campaign...

I did not like any print except 1 last year, I dont know why but I am never inspired by SS. In their Eid Collection I did not like single print

guys check out their latest video...its nice...but i dunno why they "focusing" so much this year on bags...
and did u realize guys most of the designers going for louboutings...sobia nazir and hsy...u cnt see the logo but im pretty sure it must be louboutins bcuz of the red sole :)

I actually hate their campaign! I think its elitest and patronising. The poor people included in the campaign, bichaaray coolie surrounded by wealth and materialistic rubbish. What made me laugh was Ss thinking they are now on par with Louis vuitton LOL, deluded or what.

Well, I have done specialization in Advertising in my masters and has been teaching this subject to Masters, M phil and BS Hons students for last 6 years. As I know this subject and the technicalities of ad making the format chosen itself depicts the elites. Its a lifestyle plus luxury format with the appeal of glamour and fantasy in it. The ad itself speaks that brand is prohibited for the ones who cant afford. If you see even the train shows a luxurious cabin, which in real does not exist in Pakistani trains. The driver holding purse of the model and umbrella again is the indication towards the elite status. However I have felt that less emphasis is given on prints and the reason for it is that SS stands as a status symbol and brand manufacturer know this so they just focused on status element. Be the design good or bad it gives a relief to everyone wearing it in committee parties "Yeh Sana Safinaz ka hai" and else all around would give lauding looks even if print has nothing creative in it. Thats what I think and have summarized
