San Diego Places to visit...?

I will be going to San Diego for a week and want to know if any one is familiar with the area and can recommend good places to visit and eat…
I am staying in Downtown San Diego… any help will be greatly appreciated!

I don't live in SD, but been there a few times as a tourist. Its a fabulous city to visit. Depending upon what interests you, and if you have small kids, there are many things you can do

  1. Sea World
  2. San Diego Zoo is fabulous
  3. Safari
  4. Legoland
  5. Gas Lamp District - down town SD is a trendy place and lots of restaurants
  6. Drive/ferry to Coronado island. Beautiful place
  7. Down town La Jolla (20-30 mins drive from dt SD)
  8. Beaches at La Jolla and Del Mar

Hopefully others can add more stuff you can do.

ps. There may not be a lot of halal desi restaurants, but plenty of halal persian places and plenty of desi joints (non-halal). Check zabihah.com if its something thats important for you.

There is a halal persian place in Del Mar, that I went twice but can't remember the name.

But no, I am not too too familiar with halal joints in proper San Diego.

Check zabihah.com

And let me know if you find anything good. I'll be in San Diego for kids' spring break too.

Ye I ound few places on Zabihah, thanks for that! Its just me and my hubby going for a seminar.... Will definately let you know the places I like :)
