My sister showed me an article the other day about samsung’s watchphone, it was the first watchphone i was made aware of, LG have one coming too methinks? dont know about any others. do you think it’ll take off? or is it too unconventional a concept to become popular? i think it will apeal to people into gadgets, but that’s about it. what do you all think?

I don't think they'll become popular.
1) Watchphones are weird to look at, and I don't think it's ergonomic, if you have to talk into to your watch that way.
2) Phones are more than phones nowadays, they're cameras, DAPs, MIDs etc. and watchphones can't keep all that in such small size.
They've never been popular although the idea is pretty old. You'll have to leave your watch to be charged and stuff so it'll be annoying at times.
