samsung blackjack-

anyone with any experience with the phone. I like it, seems kinda intuitive, but wanted to find out more.

I hate black berry phones, they always make me feel liek I am talking in a PBJ sandwich

Re: samsung blackjack-

Comment from an expert:)...If u want to use it for business only, Treo is betterthen Black Jack, but Black Jack has a lot of entertainment stuff if its for personal and business.
I personally use the Treo...I dont like talking on it for long period of time( I have another cell for that)...but I sure think that I cant live without the touchcreen feature now.

Re: samsung blackjack-

treo sound quality has gone down in comparison with other smart phones a lot. I used to have a treo until end of 2005, i liked it, and i do think back when i got it it was the best thing of its kind out there. Now the choices have increased.

its not going to be business only.

but to be honest I dont use many features like music and all on the phone, appointments, calls, travel/weather alerts etc are about it.

one thing I liked about treo was teh ability to download freeware that was a help. dunno if that is possible with blackjack

Re: samsung blackjack-

I switched from Treo 650 to Windows Mobile (Cingular 3125) flip phone and have now moved to BB Pearl.

After using Treo for 2 years I now have very little appetite for bulky smartphones. BB 8700 series and 8800 fail on that count. Windows mobile phone that I used had a fantastic form factor (RAZR like flip design) and availability of all kinds of Windows software, but it did not natively handle blackberry email, thus the latest switch to Pearl.

BB Pearl actually looks like a phone with fantastic form factor. It is small and provides all the functionalities I need in my phone. Great email interface, very high quality phone, a passable camera (with flash), full Bluetooth and very nice Outlook (addresses/calendar/etc) integration. Best of all it supports BB email natively and that is a big advantage for me.

Samsung Blackjack looks nice (ads certainly look nifty) but it has a big form factor, and I am not sure it supports BB Enterprise server natively or not. I know a BB solution for Windows Mobile is on its way, but if your organization is on BB, I'd suggest you stick to BB. Goodlink and other indirect methods are not all that.

Re: samsung blackjack-

I know ...The treo bulkiness is something that I dont like either...Thats why I keep another phone for the longer conversations. Black Jack seems like a better choice I guess if its both that u r looking for. The videp and music feature I have heard is good..but for me..Thats what ipods r there for:)
Waise isnt Black Jack a copy of Black Berry Pearl(thats wat I heard from someone who works for Rim)...He was talking about this website that has inside news..I'll ask him again.

Re: samsung blackjack-

At best Blackjack will resemble BB 8800. Pearl is BB 8100 and is much smaller form factor. Thing is any time you put a QWERTY keyboard with dedicated keys for each letter on a phone, the bulk will increase. Pearl did the smart thing by putting 2 letters on each button, thus reducing the size. For those who only occasionally type full emails on their cellphones, this works out very well. If you are an avid email writer on cellphone, get a dedicated QWERTY and then don't complain about the bulk.

Re: samsung blackjack-

dunno faisal, ppl in the company are using BB and blackjack both, I may ask one of the guys how is blackjack is working out.

I simply dont like black berries, had one for a few days before I went for a treo.

will not be writing full emails on the phone much, usually two liners

amber I dont want to keep switiching phones, been there done that with 2 cellphones..personal and work, plus company pager anc client pager, i needed a batman utility belt to carry all that.

I would swap out the sim card on weekends to put it in my razr, but on a weekly basis I need a smartphone that does not look and feel like a pop tart.

Re: samsung blackjack-

so that is a blackjack written all over...:)..
