Ok first Sami. Whats with that chajja. I dont understand the facination paki’s have with long hair. That thing on his head needs to go, ASAP.
Younis Khan, has the most wierd poses ever. During the last WI tour, he caught a catch with a mini dive and was on the ground and in celebration, has his legs wide apart, as if he was some chick posing for a fashion magazine. He however changed his pose the next second. Shukar, koi ghairat jaagi.
And in this Multan game in the first innings, he comes over to talk to Shabbir while he was bowling, and he wraps his arm around Shabbir’s waist. I was like, wth is that. The poor camera man had to take the camera off him, gorey cameraman ko sharam dila di.
I think Chacha Woolmer should concentrate on these issues too.
leave chacha out of cultural trainings, otherwise we may (or not) end up having gay playes
BTW: this “that looks so gay” is only heard from us Pakistanis living abroad (for 1 year or all of our lives), our reference has changed to US (or other applicable) norms, so don’t just look from your own glasses
Not really. When you know you’r being watched all over the globe by millions, you need to sort out your ways. An arm over the shoulders is fine, but around the waist…i never saw anyone do that, even when i was in Dubai. Dont tell me its a norm from where you come from.
and yea nomaan, that topi of his Its a good thing he always has his hat/helmet on.
Do they think/care in US/Europe before kissing on LIVE TV that they are being watched over the globe by millions with the audiance that may have different values???
oh and by the way “This is so gay” is now a status symbol its been used to tell other ppl that i am from/or had an extended stay in US/Eurpoe…
Sharabi jee,
not everyone is alike, Y Khan has his own personality just like everyother player. Aussies used to have this big, burly fast bowler (cannot remember his name) he had a habit of hugging and kissing his team mates and they say those kisses were real wet ones.
oh man, you just had to be crude. Well good to know we aren’t the only ones.
Normal kissing is fine, like Ronaldo would kiss Roberto Carlos’s tind. Or look at arabs for that matter, i get kissed at the masjid and i kiss them back. That’s culture and understandable. But splitting your legs open like a supermodel chic, thats something else.
Merv Hughs was the name and there was nothing cultural abt his kissing. Many of his team mates used to dread the fact that they might get a real wet one from Merv…
Who cares about Sami's hair or Younis's pose after taking a catch ? Isnt making an issue out of it kinda gay itself ? I could care less if they get a "ganj" or grow long hair so long as they perform. Younis can hug and kiss all his team mates and open his legs after taking a catch so long as his team mates dont mind why does anyone else care. Let them enjoy out there and produce some more great results.
I think Sami's hair style rocks. It perfectly compliments his soccer player enthusiasm when he gets all fired up and does all sorts of acrobatics after getting a wicket.
As for Younis Khan. Sharabi that legs apart routine was done in the 6th ODI against India when Sami bamboozeled Dravid with a shorter one and younis ran from slip to gully to take that catch. And then he did that sexy supermodel legs scene. That was embarassing indeed. As for everything else he does, well he's from peshawar. That should explain alot.
One more for the books: When sami got his 2nd wicket yesterday (Pietersen), Asim Kamal brought in water etc for everybody. Sami was almost hyperventilating and Kamal was trying to cool him down. The way he did it was he had his right hand running through Sami's hair (a bit too seductively) and he was looking at sami straight in the eyes, from a distance of about 3-4 inches, as if they were about to break into a make out routine. Luckily neither of them is from peshawar.
