Sami n Shoaib's stats since world cup

MOHD. SAMI

**Tests - 7
Wkts. - 18
Bowling Average - 52.38
5W Hauls - 1

Dint get the Strike rate but probably around or more his career rate of approx. 30

ODI’s - 46
Wkts - 73
Bowling Average - 25.72
5W Hauls - 1

Again dint get his S/R but probably near his career rate of over 60! Also his economy shd be around 5.00 atleast! **

SHOAIB AKHTER

**Tests - 8
Wkts. - 45
Average - 18.43
5W Hauls - 4

His S/R shd be in the 40’s i am guessing.

ODI’s - 36
Wkts. - 62
Average - 26.07
5W Hauls - 0

S/R in the 60’s i guess, his career rate is 71! and his economy shd be above 4 still.**

Shoaib has actually not done 2 bad since the world games, although he can be a bit frustrating at times. Sami is a different story altogether.

I think Shoaib shd play in both tests n odi’s although he shd be given the odd “jhatka” by dropping him one-change in the bwoling order to keep him hungry. But sami shd play in neither. And guyz i really did have this view before this stats!

Mohammad Sami bowling record:
Tests

                     O M R W Ave BBI 5 10 SR Econ
Bowling 580.4 106 1950 43 45.34 5-36 2 0 **81.0** 3.35

ODIs

                   O M R W Ave BBI 4w 5w SR Econ
Bowling 538.3 32 2603 98 26.56 5-10 3 1 **32.9** 4.83

Its pretty obvious how "good" our second strike bowler is :(

This guy needs 81 balls (approx 13.5 overs) in tests to claim one wicket, 5.33 overs to claim one wicket in ODIs.

^^ it could not be 30strike rate for sami must be somewhere around 50and above

thanx captain bhai here we go a strike rate of 81 it's a shame for our team an attack bowler having a strike rate of 81 man sami should be no way near our team with sucha shameful strike rate

^he probably looked at "Batting" strike rate, "Bowling" SR is different from that (I'm sure everyone knows that :p )

Here is Shoaib Akhtar's record:

Tests:

                      O M R W Ave BBI 5 10 SR Econ

ODIs:

jatt bhai, unfortunately Cricinfo.com wouldn't show his SR for a particular period of time :D , but have this record:

Mat Runs HS BatAv 100 50 W BB BowlAv 5w Ct St
unfiltered 33 318 37 8.36 0 0 133 6/11 24.32 9 7 0
filtered 18 213 37 9.26 0 0 88 6/11 18.43 7 2 0

Unfiltered is his "Career" average, while filtered one is after 2000-11-29 (I picked a random late date of 2000), as per stats, looks like his bowling improved, at least in terms of his economy and 5 wicket hauls... it could also be because he was playing alongwith the best in business (Wasim and Waqar) and after 2003 both of them retired.

teraffic fella MashAllah shoaib SR near 19 amzing to c such kind of player in our team but the only problem that i've with his is his attitudes dude got too much attitudes

SR is available for full CAREER, but when you narrow down your criteria to a particular period, you don't get bowlers' SR for some reason via Cricinfo.com

^^ok try out howstat.com

shoaib relied heavily on wasim, wasim was a vital part of shoaib success, wasim was an intense player, cpatain, bowler, he motivated others by his bowling and actions plus he was swinging the ball tahts batsmen were scared of then in comes shoaib with extreme pace so wasim was important to shoaib!

and waqar wasn't ^i think both of them were important in devolping shoaib to a fine bowler
