You assume the unadopted muslim kid would practice Islam if left unadopted (on what pretext do you assume this?) You also assume the adopted muslim will become nonpracticing if adopted by non-muslims.

To want to leave your child unadopted for fear of the child losing his/her religion is convoluted. If you, as a parent have “taught your kid well enough”, then the child practicing Islam shouldn’t be a matter of concern. If it is, you’ve obviously not done your job pal.

On the pretext that child would grow up in a muslim orphanage. I clearly stated that earlier. And yes, no matter how good a job you do on say a 5 year old kid, that child obviously will not end up a muslim if adopted by non-muslims.
