We get a great start, infact a stunning start, and any normal team would have taken the game away from NZ at that point. Literally days ago Kohli and Root showed us how to manage a 10 per over RR. We failed yet again, after the second wicket went down I had no hope. For once, Afridi can’t be blamed. I like Akmal but his innings was atrocious today. Malik is proving how useless he is as well, how our selectors are deficient of any common sense that hack keeps getting selected.
Aus must beat India (or Bang must beat India, which ain’t happening) and we must beat Aus for us to go through.
After 1st wicket, Ahmed Shehzad should have taken the charge and Instead of Khalid, Sarfaraz Should have come at one down...Sarfaraz have ability to keep the score board moving but Afridi didn't learned a bit..
Thr blame goes to Umer Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad, both were thrown out by Misbah and Waqar Younis after World Cup and were told to play domestic...at that time Afridi came out to help both and got them included in T20 side...today both were the major reason Pakistan lost the match...
In 2011 Pakistan got their ass kicked in Mohali at QF of WC, which India later won. I was so disappointed and heartbroken by that loss that not only i deactivated my social media accounts but also vowed not to follow cricket again. But we are like druggies who if dont get the shots lose ourselves so back to cricket again. I was talking to one of my cousins in KSA and he was crying the same that how much embarassment we have to face in front of other foreign nationals etc. after such losses.
But in the end, it all comes to the authorities who really can do something about it. And they are like nutshells who are hard to crack and they are glued to the chairs like only slicing their butt can remove them from it. So I dont see any hope. Next worldcup we'll be having the same discussion with same anguish and frustration.
And this is exactly wut hurts most!!
