Today is the 26 th Jamadiul awwal in Pakistan as well as in KSA. Since the month of Safar this year the dates have been same except one month, I think. Let see what happens during Ramadan and Eid!

Something I have been curious about and haven't been able to find an answer... is there any explanation in Islamic lore as to why events are triggered by the stage of the moon?

I think scientifically it is near to impossible, and this is what a major defect of lunar date system.
