So my Fiance and I are almost the same height. I am 2 inches shorter than he is, which looks fine when I am wearing flats or sandals, but when I wear heels, then I look taller. My problem is with my shaadi gharara- My mother-in-law is taking me shopping for wedding shoes next week and usually when I wear a gharara I wear heels under it so that it doesn’t drag on the floor. How can I manage the gharara on the wedding day and not look awkward next to Mr. Hubby-to-be? What kind of shoes should I get? Are flats acceptable for wedding wear? What would look elegant and solve this problem?

get 1 inch heels. i'd rather drag my gharara for a little bit than have people talk about my hubby to be and hurt him in anyway on his big day. besides you will be sitting most of the time wont you?

Tie your gharara up really, really high, and only wear 1 inch heels, not too high. You'll only be standing up in the beginning, for a few pictures and during the rukhsati so you'll be fine.
