Lawyer Aftab Gull defending Salman Butt & Mohad Amir resigns citing discrepancies for any possible fair trial for the pair.
Gul elaborated on his remarks that it seems that ICC has a pre-planned agenda to defame Pakistan Cricket and its members and there seems to be no flexibility at all. So far the hearings have very tough and one sided only.
Aftab Gul is also Salman’s Uncle who was representing his nephew without fees, advices his nephew
to obtain other legal help

I dont want to assume anything at this moment, why would his uncle is giving up the case even if the whole world is against these players.. not sure wuts going on..
It was quite abrupt fro me as well. There seems to be no other reason than that Aftab Gul wishes to free himself from the case and advices Butt to seek another Lawyer to represent him. Hmmmm,,, we have to wait for some

Could be a tactic as well to force ICC to make a change in their Independent Tribunal.The so called "independent" tribunal headed by the chairman of ICC code of conduct commission who by the way just dismissed the appeals of Butt and Aamir is a joke seriously. Atleast ICC should try and not call it an independent tribubal.

Anyway, if ICC has evidence against the trio then they must go after them and hand them life bans. Frankly speaking, the hearing process will have to be conducted in a transparent process where ICC will not be able to just hand them over punishment while concealing the evidence from media, public etc.
So I am not sure why Aftab Gul is saying that the hearing will be one sided and there will be no flexibility??? If the evidence will be credible then he cant expect the players to escape punishment. On the othe hand if there is no evidence then ICC will have remove the charges from these players.

seems like he actually knows that they evidence is irrefutable and he will loose miserably....or he is trying a political ploy to put pressure on ICC to appoint a new member to the tribunal....
won't really work...I don't think ICC will budge...
Only option for Pakistan cricket now is to move forward, structure its cricket, clean it out of this corruption. Which also seems unlikely given the conditions in the board, and in pakistani society.

I remember the "drawn faces" when they emerged from the 1st day of hearing in Dubai. IF there were no 'gag orders' ,,, This episode of Aftab GUL and his comments would have been out in the open on that day !
What he (Gull) is saying that this tribunal and ICC are totally biased and working under some evil agenda,, and these players will definitely serve as guinea pigs ( Bhaint ) including PCB and its heads
Aftab Gul has realized this case is a waste of time. Butt and company are as guilty as they get. That's the reason why PCB has deserted them as well.
