Re: Salman, Asif deserve same chance as Amir: Waqar Younis
Nope read the post again. We are not talking about some disciplinary crap, these three committed a crime (yes there is a difference)- the memory of it is still fresh in people’s head. Fine you can have them in the team because they have God gifted talent, but so absurd to expect people to get over it, and not talk about it at all.
If this problem was tipped in the bud (during Wasim’s era), maybe there wouldn’t been Butt, Asif and Amir the match fixers.
Re: Salman, Asif deserve same chance as Amir: Waqar Younis
That example is quite lame cuz it doesnt even match what we are saying here. Nobody is stopping them to play club cricket etc either. Its just they cant represent the same country in final eleven. I think I rest my case :)
Actually the example YOU provided is quite lame. To compare a sport with INSIDER trading is beyond ridiculous. In case of sport, it affects fans and the game. In the case of insider trading it compromises integrity if the stock or the market. Thus jeopardizing investments and retirements of millions!
.Obamas analogy is spot on. The players have done their time. Cricket is their professsion. That is what they know how to do. They have done their time. Now they can play the game. Whether at club level. Or international level.
I rest my case.

Nobody said it won't be talked about... they will monitored with tons of cameras/angles, each of their moves will be questioned, and if they are honest and man enough they will come thru otherwise they'll just chicken out or break down.

Well said. For some reason, I could not like your post.
