Re: Salient features of President's address

Pakistan ka khuda hafiz!

Re: Salient features of President’s address

THINGS HE DID NOT MENTION IN HIS SPEECH

BBCUrdu.com | ??? | ??? ??? ??? ??? !!!

Re: Salient features of President's address

Salient feature is that the speech was way too long, and once he announced that he is resigning, he should have wrapped up right there and then (for more dramatic effect). He rambled on and on even after that, boring the heck out of me. His best line was a double innuendo "Pakistan ka khuda hi haafiz hai". Not sure if it was written in the speech for him, or if he just added it impromptu at that time. It was classic, coming from a soon-to-be-former President.

Re: Salient features of President's address

for the past 61 years...Pakistan ka Khuda he hafiz raha hai...but he didnt mention anywhere that american helped him to stay.

Re: Salient features of President's address

^^ ofcourse he is not mentioning that besides US no more supports him, the US state department said they can work with the new government for the war on terror.

Faisal bhaijan. I guess it is a question of preference. I thought it was just right. :)

Great President Musharaf has correctly highlighted the Unprecedented Development that has taken place under his great leadership. It is now up to the new government to raise the bar, or the very least match the Unprecedented Economic Development and Foreign investment that came Pakistan way during the past eight years. :)

Re: Salient features of President's address

I saw it yesterday. Long boring and unappealing. The best part of the speech was the reaction of the crowds from Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar on the split screens, people jumping with jubilation when he said he'll resign.
