telecom industry is taking a beating right now and it has impacted their hiring in almost all areas. sales and marketing are no exceptions. There are many qualified local grads who are out and looking for opportunities right now. I would keep investigating and pursuing opportunities, but with a realization that telco is a tough place to be right now.

thanks Mr.Fauradia.. do u think an experienced sales person will have to meet more challenges as a fresh grad.faces?which one is being given more priority there when it comes to experience and locality?
or in other words an experienced sales person from a forign country will get only less oppurtunity than an inexperienced local grad??
expereinced people will have an easier time because they can start delivering results sooner than a newbie who will need to be trained. However, there are expereinced salesmen, account managers, etc who have been let go and looking to get into whatever opportunities they find, so competition is tough, especially for a foriegn person.
Your best bet would be to get into international sales or account management where you can focus on Indian accts and Indian buyers, that would differentiate you from the others.
