Dont knock it till you try it. I just started in sales, and I thank Allah that I started early on in my career as opposed to later, because the potential for income and growth is simply enormous. Not only that, you can learn several aspects of a business and just how to deal with people in a sales job. I dont know why more people dont go into it. It is said that women do better at sales then men. I can understand why.
If some of you college grads (or those that are jobless) are considering jobs, please consider a sales job (with base salary of atleast $300 plus atleast 5% commission) for some time. Give it three months and see where it may take you. I would suggest in-bound sales as opposed to out-bound. In a desired/needed commodity.
People often think they cant do sales or its just not their thing, just as I used to think, but I was wrong. It definately is. My mom was telling me that business can be a noble profession, as the Prophet(SAW) and Khadija(RA) were involved in sales/trade. smile
all jobs are noble professions Munni :)
I mean what would we do without f.e. street cleaners or gardeners :)
Every profession is needed to make the world go around .

Indeed Prae, I didnt mean it in that way. smile
My mom said that to me because she felt I thought women shouldnt be in sales. And I know after speaking to a lot of people that they feel its not a great profession, but indeed it can be. smile
