Desi cuisine uses onion, garlic, and spices. These ingredients are known to give off a pungent odor. Garlic and onion contain stinky substances (I believe they are sulfur compounds) which enter our bloodstream. Our bodies try hard to get rid of these strong compounds through our breath, sweat, and pores of our skin. Deodorant and breath mints might temporarily mask the odor, but they don't get rid of it. You have to wait for your body to get rid of the compounds from its system. Until that happens, all you can do is shower, use deodorant, brush your teeth (and tongue), and rinse with mouthwash.
