i agree with u guys that movies cater to a different crowd…and sell…
sure…no doubt abt it…
BUT…
i feel like whether they sell or not sell, we, being the Islamic Republic of Pakistan…must not make such movies…
charas sells
porn sells
but that doesnt mean we shud say its ok to manufacture n market them…
the right thing imho is to stop making these indecent n cheap movies…they r crossing all limits of decency..
and whats worse is that they r shown in pakistani cincemas khulay aam…sure if ppl really want to see such bayhayai let them see it privately, but to make it an acceptable part of society that is done khullam khulla is imho not good
**Dr Evil ** u r right i am a hypocrite… mujh se bara munaafik koi naheen ho ga…
but still this is what i think…
Fret, actually the shooting was really done outdoors - if i'm not mistaken they did some of it in hunza valley and i think that shot is of hunza valley or somewhere around there.
irem, i totally agree that there should be RESPONSIBLE film making. However, if no one is going to watch burqaywalian either. There must be a balance. Now, how do you know that this movie isn't about something substantial? You're judging by the pictures - and believe me, it could have been a lot worse. Normally, a typical pakistani film can really stretch the limits and this movie seems tame in comparison.
First they've got to start producing movies that will get the cash flowing. Then they can sit and theorize about morals and ethics of style and fashion.
The last few pics I posted are going to come up really small when you click on them...that's because the actual images on the websites were too big to upload here - you can see them on the website (which I checked is working) under downloads or wallpapers.

Nope, where did you get that out of the seven words I said? I just said that because Pakistani movies should be a bit cleaner but I guess they are following an ancient rule that has worked for the indians well so far: Sex Sells.
It seems wayyy better than the usual gandaasa affair, but we should establish our own individual and original cinematic identity. Bollywood is caught in the rut, with practically all their films bombing this year, so we ought to learn our lessons.
