1- Tell them unn ko Californina aanay ki zaroorat nahi kyon k tum tou khud Atlanta aanay wali ho.
2- Jab wo tumhe kisi kaam k baray mai kahain k aisay hota hai, aisay karna chahea tou tell them, mai bilkul theek kar rahi hoon. Jo tareeqa aap nay bataya hai wo Cali laws kay khilaf hai.

GN- do what I do, i tell people that i live how i live and if they are going to stay with me thats what they have to deal with.
There is a certain relative of mine who has some other views about cleaning than mine (mashaAllah they have a maid coming in everyday so I guess they can be) and my house is clean but no we dont do laundry every day, or mop every day etc..)
so last time this was raised I kinda just said, ppl can do as they please in their home, and I will do as I please in my home and if it is not good enough for them, they dont have to deal with it.
that was that, topic never came up again. atleast not to me.
90% of desi family issues will be solved if people were just direct.

ask them to show you how to organize closets, clean bathrooms, organize garage, set up home office..

so they will think you are clueless..but free fund ki doestic help mil rahee hai..take advantage of that.

my mother taught me if u can do somethign then do it but dont burden yourself, and also not others.
problems with others is not only they think that they are really sati-sawatari and sughar but also they pin point mistakes in your food, living style.
in fact in my recent trip to pakistan, my cuzin said to mama that phopoo u dont pin-point our food our our anyhting...app ko jo mill jata hai u dont say a word k yeh aisa bana hai, or aisa bun-na cheyee hai.
honestly, pointing someone on personal level, only make the observer suffer the most.
