Imtiaz Ali cast Saif Ali Khan and Rishi Kapoor as the younger and older version of the same character in the movie, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, another filmmaker Nikhil Advani thought of taking Saif as the young sardarji for Rishi Kapoor in his movie Patiala House.
However, Saif wasn’t pleased with the idea of playing the sardarji again and so the actor refused to take the project. Saif feels that he has played the Sikh role once and that once was more than enough.
News is there that now a theatre actor named Kumud Mishra will be playing the younger version of Rishi Kapoor in the flashback scenes.
Rishi confirmed the news and said that Saif has refused to do the friendly appearance. But anyway, Patiala House is looking good.”
