It’s the director who makes all the difference. Major reason why the dramas these days are getting flak is because of lack committed, educated and creative directors.
Check out this gem by Sahira Kkazmi .It’s not one her popular plays . I just came across it on youtube - after watching for a couple of minutes, I was impressed by the acting I thought it had to be the directed by some talented person. It turned out it was directed by the veteran Sahira Kazmi! Its not one her masterpieces but it’s quite funny and far better than the crap we get to watch today.

By the way, check out the comic timing of the actors. If it were a lesser director, he would have ruined the play. Great directors can turn even ordinary scripts into entertaining plays.
wow i remember watching this....6/7 saal purana hai....eid pe aya tha...it was a very funny play, just right for the eid environment....sadia imam looked very pretty in it....
sahira is a good director...the two plays i totally adore by her are dhoop kinare and zaib un nisa.
I think Bushra also wrote this Eid play. it was funny when she was watching Junaid's song and making comments... then all those things about Humayun Saeed she says. what a talented lady Bushra is. Iqbal Ansari is a very lucky man to have married such a beautiful and talented woman.
Sahira... you don't need to even say anything. legend. I just don't get why some of her serious plays didn't get as much fame. for example, I personally think her plays Tapish and Hawwa Ki Beti were her best work. but people seem to be hung up Dhoop Kinaray which was charming... after how can you not love a play with Marina, Sajid Hasan, Azra Sherwani, Qazi Wajid, etc. but Tapish and Hawwa Ki Beti were absolutely brilliant.
I was searching for this for a while, thanks for posting. That's what u call talent ur right the crap they produce these days...even the indians have managed to hook most of us onto theirs.
