MATCH PREVIEW
Everton exposed Chelsea frailties from set-pieces the last time the two sides met in an entertaining 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.
“I don’t think we should be frightened of anyone at the moment”
Everton captain Phil Neville
Two of the Toffees’ goals came from free-kicks, while the other stemmed from a throw-in - reasons for in-form midfielder Tim Cahill to have an added spring in his already impressive step.
The Australian has scored two headed goals in three games, while Louis Saha has fired two goals in two matches against Chelsea and is looking for his 100th league strike in an Everton shirt.
On the pitch, 2010 has started brightly for Chelsea. They are the only Premier League side not to have lost a match in any competition so far this calendar year.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men have scored 22 goals in seven games in all competitions to answer questions about their title-winning credentials, mental state, and strength of their squad.
At a time when all eyes have been on Chelsea, the Blues appear to have done most of their talking with their feet. However, skipper John Terry has thanked the Blues fans for all their support after being stripped of the England captaincy last week.
