MUMBAI: The sets have been designed by Lagaan and Devdas fame art director Nitin Desai, Madhur Bhandarkar has made a film on Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani and then there are multi media message clips and a musical show on the legendary Maratha warrior Chatrapati Shivaji.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has pulled out all the stop for its silver jubilee celebrations that begin in Mumbai next week. Smarting under a TV sting operation that has nailed half a dozen of its MPs, facing a leadership crisis and beset by growing factionalism, the BJP is nevertheless putting its best foot forward to raise a toast to its 25 years of existence in Mumbai next week.
As scripted by Pramod Mahajan, the five-day event is going to be a “celebration time” for the party. “This is an event that will commemorate the birth of the BJP. We want to organise it the same way it was done 25 years ago at the same place,” he said.
