Just recently i was shocked to learn that how all major brands(even those who claim to be natural ) carry toxin and harmful chemicals linking to cancer and other serious diseases n defects.
Now i’m trying to find companies with safe skin care n cosmetic line.i’m still not sure which one to go after.
Can anyone recommend a company that they hav tried n found really good.
Re: Safe skin care products/cosmetics
seriously you are right! I used to try the major brands but I noticed that my skin's condition was just getting worse and worse. So I changed to organic, "clean" brands which contain no parabens etc. My favorite is suki! This has really improved the condition of my skin. You should try their website sukipure.com
Plus, there is also the organic pharmacy, john masters organic and juice beuaty. You should try and see what suit your skin the best. In my case suki is defnitely the favorite but these other brands are also really good
Re: Safe skin care products/cosmetics
thanks for replying.i was like wat!! nobody on GS use paraben n other toxin free products.
i'll look at suki website for sure.
the ones here r just burtsbees, terressential n one name i particularly liked"kiss on the face"lol .but its hard to pick a brand when u r so unfamiliar with these names.
you must visit this website for detailed info on cosmetic brands, their products and ingredients, truly an eye-opener.
Re: Safe skin care products/cosmetics
this is the same site i learnt everything from.
also chk this link
http://www.organicconsumers.org/bodycare/ShoppersSafetyGuide.pdf
it was so shocking esp learning abt baby products.right from infant hood we r injecting our kids with most dangerous chemicals.
i opened this thread just to chk wat natural safe brands others found good.
Re: Safe skin care products/cosmetics
I used juice organics, was not too impressed, I use Laroche posy, they seem to be paraben and sulphite-s free…I don’t think these regular non-organic skin care have bad effects on the skin (i.e cause breakouts, rash etc) other than the health effects, so not sure why some ppl just by switching to organic products will have better skin (sorry sogul, not pointing figures) I know someone who says her skin looked burned when she used non-organic stuff, BS, she should have got her skin checked for sensitivity.
I wanted to try
http://www.sephora.com/browse/brand_hierarchy.jhtml?b*****d=Nude+Skincare
heard good stuff about it.
One more thing, make sure the deodorants we use are also paraben free because according to some studies most of the women who had breast cancer had much higher amounts of carcinogens revealed in their autopsies than other women with brest cancer who didn’t use deodorants. Just like anything related to health, talk to your doctor.
You may have a point there–It’s just that it has worked wonders for me
Again, you might want to do more research on the effects of organic skin care but I have absolutely no complaint after switching to organic stuff ![]()
Re: Safe skin care products/cosmetics
^wat brands r u using Sogul.can u giv me some details plz.
Re: Safe skin care products/cosmetics
^^ for cleansing I use the suki exfoliating lemon cleanser, they also have it without the sugar grains if you have sensitive skin
Moisturizing: suki intensive brightening cream which is non-greasy and can be used under eyes as well...
Peeling: juice beauty peel masque. This is really intensive but I use it occassionally...it makes your face red after you've applied it so I apply it before I sleep so my skin looks good in the morning. It also comes in a special formula for sensitive skin....
The best thing with all of these is that it doesn't contain any nasty chemicals and it's certified organic
I've used organic pharmacy as well but it's more suited for sensitive skin...I have oily acne skin so that's why I changed to the other two brands. However organic pharmacy is really good on sensitive skin
