Mustansar Husain Tarrar
Abnay Batota is also good.
ahmadjee, thanks..i do know about them..but any specific title that you would recommend?
Baji Q, it depends what do you want to read about? Tarar has written about his trip to China, Europe, east Asia, US etc. but he has also written about different places in Pakistan, mostly the mountain areas up north.
ahmadjee, i am willing to read anything :-)
I wasn't sure about posting that link, so check your PM.
Well, if it is Tarar that you are going to read, Undlas MaiN Ajnabi & Nikle Teri Talash Main, are by far the best of his books. I don't think much of his safarnaamas in the northern areas of Pakistan. To me they all seem monotonous.
Col. Muhammad Khan's Basalaamt Rawi is entertaining. He is funny, he is Urdu is somewhat 'saqeel'.
Read Any one of Mustansar Hussain TaraR…
U will enjoy all… as mentioned Earlier.. Undalas maiN Ajnabi and Niklay Teri Talash maiN.. are gr8
JIPSI is cool…
And… The worth Reading is.. his… NOVEL sor to Safar nama.. PYAR KA PEHLA SHEHIR.. is for Paris..
If U wanna know abt Northern Areas of Pakistan..
U can Read… Yaak Saraye… Safar SHumal ke… or the Newest one.. Barfeeli BulandiaN

Insha has written amazing safarnamaz.. chalte ho to chin ko chaliaye, Ibne Batuta ke Tuaqub men etc.. though written long back.. they are at times too humorous..

INSHA Bolay tou.. Ibne Insha the POET?
Khumar-e-gandum is Insha's best piece of work in my opinion. Waisay if you are looking for humourous urdu writers, Shafiq-ur-Rehman is a classic. Although, most of my family fails to see what is so funnyabout him sighs. Yousfi is another classic writer.
Qurius you are welcome, if you want any more recommendations (both English/Urdu) I would be more than happy to oblige. Books are the only things about which I can talk endlessly (apart from literati of course!) :-)
Ata-ul-Haq Qaasmi also writes enjoyable travelogues. A lil more catered for the bachelor audience but good nevertheless.
^ Ata-ul-Haq Qasimi bores me to death!! People think (my uncle is one of those people too...thinks the guy is hilarious) that he is extremely funny. But I have failed to read any of his books in entirety. and that is saying something.
