Which ground is it in S.A. where they say that the grass use to stand up at night in Day/night matches ..... i think Pakistan lost to England badly on this ground in WC 2003
So a team batting first can easily defend a score above 175.
But it's good that such pitches r still available coz then u know the true value of a bastman

I think we should send tendulkar no.4 after dravid, by sending him as opener
we are making him face new ball thus giving oppenents good chance to get our best batsmen out. I know he has good record as opener but things changed for him now, there is no denying the fact that his reflexes ane not what it used to be. Occastionally he can still come good as opener once in a while but if you observe his recent innigs it was nothing short of struggle for him, he will take time to settle and after few chances he will go on post big score not too often though.
In the last series batting against australia he looked as if he was in two minds, he did't know whether to take chances and bat aggresively like sehwag was doing other end or save the wicket and bat steadily and post big score, well he ended up doing nothing. By making him bat at no.4 we are protecting him from new ball and express pace bowlers and also he is clear of his job just stay till the end of the innigns and maintain his strike rate.
Given the southafrican conditions I want to see two openrs who can bat 10 overs who can keep the wickets and see the new ball off, then if sachin coming no.4 middle order will be strong and try to look to bat 50 overs and then post decent total,if possible. Its not gone be easy given the southafrican conditions and their bowling line up at the movement they will be no letup for india and all their bowlers are licking their fingers at the prospect of bowling to indian FTB's.
I can't suggest who will be my two openers coz I did't go through the selected list, if you have nobody send kumble as opener I am sure if he does nothing he will stick around 10 overs. I do not want to be pessimistic but I can see the 5-0 result alredy southafrica's favor provide no miracles, we need to do something drastically to save face and sending saching no.4 might to be one.
