Re: Saeed Anwar to replace Intikhab Alam as coach?
I read it yesterday on Geo site. Hmmmm!!!! not too sure about the merits of this.
This is nothing but a knee-jerk reaction. Inti is being made a scape goat here.
The problem is not the coach but the boss Ijaz Butt and parasites like Saleem Altaf in the administration.
Can't really blame Inti for the narrow loss in Sri Lanka. Pakistan may have lost the test series 2-0 but the truth is they were in a winning position in all three tests. There is not much a coach or captain can do if our batters sometimes lose it under pressure. Inti atleast brings luck to the team in World Cups
Next thing we will hear Inzi is the new fitness guru of the team

Your hero has been appointed batting advisor.](http://=http://www.cricinfo.com/slvpak2009/content/story/419774.html)
He is always criticised other coaches especially foreign ones.
Lets see what the legend does this time with the World class batsmen the ‘World champions’ posses.
Re: Saeed Anwar to replace Intikhab Alam as coach?
Latest is that Saeed anwar will be made permanent batting coach and Javed Miandad has just taken over on temp basis for champions trophy
I have many heroes and yes he is one of them - Imran Khan, Zaheer Abbas, the two W’s, Windies pace quartet of the 80s and Viv Richards to name a few
There is no disputing his enormous knowledge of the game and batting know-how. Only his man-mangement skills are questionable.
And to Miandad’s credit even a reckless player like Afridi started showing some consistency with the bat in tests in 2005/6…scored something like 3 or 4 test centuries albeit all in the sub-continent
Re: Saeed Anwar to replace Intikhab Alam as coach?
a batting advisor and a batting coach?!? talk about bloated administration.
Re: Saeed Anwar to replace Intikhab Alam as coach?
With Miandad in the admin. when will we see Faisal Iqbal in the team?

But this is nothing compared to our over-inflated and wasteful Federal Cabinet. I believe the cabinet has some 60-70 ministers now
Some ministries have
Federal Minister
Minister of State
Advisor to the PM on blah blah blah
Federal Secretary
VVIP culture at it's best...

Those centuries from Afridi came under Bob Woolmer and NOT miandad!
Re: Saeed Anwar to replace Intikhab Alam as coach?
I don't know what to make of this news, Saeed was a great player but does he have any coaching training/certificate?

You are probably right but I distinctly remember Afridi attributing his success with the bat to batting tips from Miandad

Miandaad is my all time favorite cricket player bu on issue of Faisal Iqbal, I'm with you Kashur .... Faisal is not a perfect batsman. He has only few shots in his bag ...

Out of all your heroes - who is your favourite? Is it Javed?
