just to add though
you can donate them to a gym or a bus station as well.
its about making a positive impact on humanity and a gift that keeps giving.

Now as far as god being rehman and raheem..my understanding is that your account of bad deeds closes once u die, but of good deeds continues on in form of sadqa e jariya.

of course when my grandfather explained that to me, I came up with the statement that then someone who had a high balance of bad vs good deeds at death, can have the very opposite by the time he is judged…and if so, time plays a role and its unfair to people who were born later and thus needs to have lower weighting as time passes.

I did not get a satisfactory answer though

It is my understanding that when a person dies his/her bad and good both account keeps active. Like sadqah jariaha and gunah jariah.
