As the ummah woke up for Eid
And the hajjis were on Mount mina
Beginning of a wonderful day
Lots to look forward to
They chose this day
To slay
Saddam Hussein

Once he could do no wrong
The man portrayed as strong
Not in the deen
But in carrying out orders for the west

When he fought Iran
To slow the Islamic revolution
The west armed him to the teeth
Chemical weapons, planes and all the tools of death
Millions of Muslims died
Nothing was achieved

Except two Muslim countries weakened

When he gassed his own people
The west looked the other way
And made more deals
To sell weapons for Muslims destruction
While the ummah continued to pray
For a saviour

First Gulf war
Invasion of Kuwait
Formerly part of Iraq
Before the division by the colonialists
Gave them an excuse to occupy Muslim land
And secure the oil supplies and strategic locations
Also sell out of date weapons to Arab leaders

Saddam’s forces routed
But Saddam strengthened
Internal opposition destroyed
Shias, Kurds and Islamists
All put to the sword
More weapons sold
To the butcher of Baghdad
Praised highly
Given everything except a medal of honour
For loyalty and sincerity to the western interests

Enter the year 2000
And opposition to Bathist rule growing
Tide in the Middle East is turning
Islamists on the march everywhere
Need for change
Caliphate is the alternative

America and the west scared
Worst nightmare
Muslim rulers no longer trusted
Need for new plan
Occupation
Based on lies about weapons of mass destruction

Democratisation
Rule of the people
Slogan after slogan
Not working
The mother of all battles has begun
American dead daily
Wounded uncounted
25 000 plus and rising

Saddam blamed
Accused of leading insurgency
Hunt is on
Finally captured
Paraded, humiliated
So much for human rights and dignity

Put on trial
What a show!
What a farce!
Judge is a Kurd
Axe to grind
But never mind

Guilty verdict passed
Appeal lost
Nowhere to turn
Except Allah
Saddam praying
Quoting the Quran and Sunnah

Day of execution set
Clashes with Eid
But so what
Kill him before he spills the beans
Names, dates and meetings
With US and British representatives

Dead man can tell no tales
Lesson for all Muslim traitors
They use u and discard u
Even on Eid

If only u would see the world as a humanbeing instead of just a muslim,u wud see ur own shortcomings as a thinker.
I am no friend of bush,rather v v critical but to heap I observe it with open eyes.I also know that essentially it is not the western people but few politicans who are wrong but so are our own politicians.Public at large are generally good people just as people among us are.
Try to raise the voice against the ills of our own society honestly n u will do a proper service.Have u wondered as to the maladies of non-democratic systems or say yes to it?Do u beleive in the concept of secularism,emancipation of women,scientific temper etc OR close ur eyes to all that.
Consider what i have said very honestly n try to bring joy in the world instead of hate-illed half truths .

U admit that saddam was a cruel ruler who gassed Kurds,attacked iran,kuwait etc and was a tyrant to his own people as well.If it is all true then he ought to be hanged much sooner than now.So why are you in mourning??Whether he had the support of US previousely is another matter altogether.
Then your saying about democtaisation.Do u think that democracy,secularism n such emacipated concepts are wrong?
And if you will stop crying in the name of muslim always and talk in the language of a genuenly aggreived humanbeings who not only cries against the injustices of western powers but is against all the tyrants whether they take the name of christ or Allah,the i am with all the way,my friend.Dont wear the religion on your sleeve but it should be a private matter.
Do read my,"Inki sadaaoN say bachna" which is addressed to all hindus,muslims,sikhs,chritians etc,who always think that their religion is in damger n comment.
You also didnt reply when i asked you if u agree that what saudi arabia has done about totally cutailing freedom of other religion.U know no other religion's place of worship can come up there.Any comment but only as an honest truth seeker n not just blind defender.

I agree that Saddam should have been hanged for his crimes much sooner, but is he the only tyrant on this earth? What about the rest? And who will judge them all and what will they judge according to? We need to agree on this before any trial.

As a Muslim I disagree with Secularism and Democracy because we have our own model of governance based on Islam.

As for crying based on Islam I will always view things from the Islamic perspective because I am convinced of Islam as a creed and system for life.

As for your poem, thank u, but I don’t understand hindi or urdu.

Regarding Saudi Arabia I do not recognise them as an Islamic state because they do not rule according to Islam regardless of what they say. There are many things which they do that I disagree with such as oppression of women, Shias, other religious minorities, guest workers, and arrests of Islamic activists

My friend,I know heaps of people from other religions who have the same tunnel vision n the same superiority complex about their religions-hindus,christians,sikhs alike.Give urself a broader vision or go back to those ancient times.U want to enjoy the fruits of modernisation yet heap abuse on it as well.That is not fair.Either discard all modern gadgets,like TV,computer,firdge,cycle,aeroplane,train,bus,electricity etc etc which are the result of western scientific thought n start living in tents n use camals.Do use english,shirt,pants, n all other western things.Be honest to urself atleast.
If u disagree with the concept of secularism n democracy,then dont cry foul about the tyrants who come to rule in the name of religions.If u dont like these progresses of human mind,then you must not live in the society which beleives in it.Then tell them to make UK,USA etc chritian countries where the practivc of all other religions is not allowed-like saudi arabia.BE HONEST.
Try to live as a humanbeing only then will u be able to see the world with tolerant vision n it will bring so much jiy in ur soul when u appreciate n respect others beleifs with the same equality.
Young people of other religions,with the same intolerant world-view, also have the same views of the world-Klu Klux Klan,White Supermacist,Nazis,Hindu n sikh terrorists etc.All belomng to extreme right n are basically same.Had u been born in a hindu or christian family,u would have espoused the same intolerant philosophy-jut the belief in the supermacy of the religion would have been diferent.

I also think that Bush n Blair should be tried in the international cout for crimes against humanity but I say this as a human being and not as a hindu or muslim.That is a big difference.Do u find any head of the state of any muslim state who can stand up and ask for their trial at UN?
I want that a debate should start in youth of all the religion who say that we will stop thinking as muslim,chritian or hindu.Becuase it has only brought poison on this heaven which we call EARTH.
I expect more n more thinking people to come n openly raise their voice against all this nonsense.Am I hoping right?
