Has anyone used Sadaf Hair and makeup for their wedding/walimah etc?
I have been a follower of her on her facebook page and just think she is amazing at her work. If I could afford it, i would book her for my wedding as I have this irrational belief that only she can make me look good with lots of makeup.
Has anyone on here used her and what has the experience been like? Thanks
this is her facebook page for those who haven’t heard of her
I've never used her or seen a bride done by her but I also regularly stalk her and watch her make over videos on youtube. Some of the transformations are simply amazing. The before and after pics look nothing like each other. I wonder what products she uses for concealing and if the make up looks harsh in person. Do you know how much she charges?

I did email her but she wanted a specific date which I didn't have because I am not getting married so have no idea how much she charges. But I agree...her transformations are amazing and seeing it done on you tube makes me believe that she is not doing airbrushing.
Funnily enough, the foundation/concealer routine is always skipped in the video so i must wonder what the secret is :p
Haha I noticed that too! Also when people ask on FB she doesn't answer... obviously doesn't want to give away her secrets. I think most of the brides she does are based up north and they seem to like a different look compared to southern brides... do you think so? Or am I looking too much into it?
Yep, she doesn't answer and why should she IMHO? Its her work and her secret and probably her total form of income so she should be entitled to keep the secrets to herself :p
I love the bridal makeup she does and quite honestly I didn't know there were different looks compared to regions..maybe you are looking too much into it? :p
Though I do wish that they would show their prices, I mean what difference does it make? They are offering a service afterall :)
Even if she did list the products used I doubt many girls could actually recreate the looks. It's not all about the products... you need the techniques and skills as well.
I think prices differ based on location and hairstyle (if you require more hairpieces for an elaborate style etc) amongst other things. It would be nice though if MUAs published a basic price list to give potential brides an idea.
I'm waiting for her to put up more videos on youtube... even my mama has started watching them with me! If she was based in London I would definitely have contacted her.
£450 is very reasonable considering it includes travel costs to go to another city. The base make-up she does is quite amazing... not super keen on the eye make-up though.
I really like Sadaf and agree with Kat that the eye makeup is overbearing sometimes, yet I am more tilted towards Uzma's Manchester just because her makeup is more subtle and very close to how brides look like in Pakistan. I have always preferred that look and for my wedding as well I am working with Uzma on various colour schemes as well as the photography. I know that she is getting some new traditional props for her studio photography, we plan that on my big day I will go to her home/studio to get makeup done and then have my fiancee join me for a photo shoot, just the same way they do in Lahore, before heading out to Nawab Restaurant for the wedding.
Well with the right products you can completely cover the skin and highlight the features through contouring so a transformation is expected. When you put that together with very heavy eye-makeup, the bride is going to look completely different from bare faced. I'd say that the same base with lighter eye makeup, softer blush and not defining the lips so much would give a finished look which is more recognisable to the before.
