Well it is kind of sad because the deceased was someone's son, father, husband, brother...so I guess we should control ourselves. However, when someone becomes a public figure, his status comes with a great deal of responsibility that affects many people. If those people are negatively affected, it is quite natural to become indifferent or even satisfied when he/she passes on.
My position is that human should act like human first and should never, ever, ever, and ever............... wish, pray, accept, or agree with somomeone's death wihout irrefutable/eye witnessed evidence of any bad act or crime.
I don't have any sympathy for Osama and his likes. They brought it upon themselves. If they can't live in the society without causing havoc, the society needs to put them away.
Though my heart goes out to all the innocent lives lost in the last 10 years. So I agree with you in the sense that one innocent person's blood isn't cheaper than the others. This cold attitude that people have developed towards the loss of human life is indeed sad, to say the least.

I was very clear in my first post about current affair and possible confusion about OBL. Nothing to do with OBL here.
All I brought was the condemnation of ........ the savage, animalistic, barbaric and blood thirsty minds,........... who wish someone to be dead or killed without due process of justice. :(
to answer your question, hakeem sahab, well i think people lose clarity and act irrational when their emotions are stimulated and the media knows very well how to manipulate the masses.
Nothing to do with current affairs but why do people talk about anyone's death so lightly or in jokes?
Especially the politicians and more selectively with Pakistani present or past officials etc. etc.
What kind of sick level of gratification is achieved by this?
We did not joke about Faheem and Faizan, did we? We did not mock Afifa or Mukhataran Mai in these forums. We did not even put down Sialkot brothers although their past seems little doubtful
But when people who are responsible for other people's life and well being act selfishly (namely our policticians), all bets are off, no respect can be extended to such kameenay loug.

So you agree people do lose clarity, act irrational, and media knowingly manipulates masses.
