Yeah, but you have to admit, in the 80’s they produced some of the most emotional power ballads ever.

Fred, couldn't agree more with what you said about 80s being the decade of powerful ballads. Most of my fave sad songs are from around that era.

All of these songs are from an album I was given for Eid (the same one that features those songs by hot Rod) and they're the driving force behind my suicide thread. Isn't it amazing how listening to a few sad tracks can make you cry a whole lot quicker than any person could :)

i never got into too many of those bands, my 80's music leans more towards the cure, u2, duran duran :D that kind of stuff. But Fret dear, the song u posted a link for-beautiful!!!

I'm glad you liked it 714, you'd be surprised, that particular band "Stratovarius", is a european, neo-classical metal band, usually extremely fast, but very classical in nature. "Forever" is one of their slower songs. I posted some more of their stuff on the "favorite guitar sequences" thread also, but it's their fast stuff, but it's just as cool. I'll try to see if I can find some more songs of "Forever"'s nature and post them on that thread. :)
