Last night finally I finished “Man-o-Salwa” by Umera Ahmed. The ending was sad and quite un-expected.
Do you get influenced by the sad endings of the novels or stories? I mean what are your expressions usually?

Yesterday after a long time i read a novel story. Unexpectedly it has very sad ending which I was not expecting.
I was so depressed being affected from the end of story. The same was repeated in my DREAM and at the end of dream i was senseless. After sometime I realized that it was a DREAM- A BAD DREAM.

i have read this novel as my mom is an ardent fan of literature. I do get influenced by sad endings be it in novels or movies..

OH MY GOD.
Umera Ahmed is like my favourite writer!Her writings are so intense and far away from the ''Girl-meets-guy-falls-in-love-BUTT-family-doesn't-approve-of-it'' routine!The portrayal of the characters(I love SALAR of Peer-e-Kamil!!!) is rather too awe-inspiring.I was reffered to Peer-e-Kamil as a mind-boggling,unlike in nature novel..and I fell in love with it every passing day.Came along 'Lahasil','Amar Bail','Iman Umeed aur Mohabbat' and 'Hasil',and she won it for me.She's one of the most honest authors I've ever had the chance to read.I'll get my hands on this one,it's on the cards,yeah it is!
As for 'sad endings'...hmmm..never really experienced some..I've always read the ones that end on a happy note lol,although I'm stuck onto those that I know will have a sad ending to them sighs

whether its a film or a novel with a sad ending, i keep thinking about it for a week or so and then forget about it. But has never affected me in any other sense..
