Today is the 60th aniv for the holocaust. I know this is a muslim/ pakistani website, However Jews are people too. People died; upto 1.5 million jews alone were killed in Auschwitz alone. Lets leave Jew,US, India, Ahmadi bashing aside for a few minutes today and observe this horrific event. Lets pray to Allah (swt) for the souls that perished and seek guidance to help us resolve our issues. I know many people here on this forum dont like Jews, but as Muslims Allah (swt) has taught us forgiveness and tolerance so lets put our nice faces out today and be sensitive to the fact that an unimaginable atrocity occured on this day.
May Allah (swt) protect us, and keep the souls that perished in his saftey. You (Allah swt) are the creator of all things, you created us and to you we return.
I would request the management to put up a sticky banner showing their solidarity with the vicitms of the most heinous crime in the history of humanity. At around NOON, there will be a collective 2 minute moment of silence to pay respects. (THIS MEANS CAFE WILL BE SHUT DOWN:YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO POST).

I met with a holocaust survivor when I was in college. You guys must have heard his name "Eli Weisel". If you listen to his story from his mouth it will bring tears in your eyes no matter how ardently one hates the jews. His story is not about being jewish it is about a 7 yr old kid ( If my memory serves me correctly) naked in snow without shoes running away from death while death hunts him down. A few here on this forum have kids that age so just put yourself in a helpless situation like that and try to picture. It changed my perpective entirely.

mal1K: If Hitler killed all the jews, you wouldn't have the internet, most medicines, space exploration, technologies that drive your fancy cars, great works of literature, arts, music, fiction, movies. Yes that is quite apparent Mr Madhanee. But even the holy Quraan promotes education, tolerance and absolute forbiddance of murder, esp murder of innocents. Of course, malik knows better than us all, and gets to decide how we should all live, WHO should live and HOW they should live. May his camel give birth to a higher intelligence than himself, not a difficult task to accomplish
60 years on, the Jews remember that who did it and why. its so chilling to just imagine working on a huge oven for 12 months who's sole purpose was to burn Human corpses thousands in one day alone. But Jews are just people, like all of us, the act was carried against a group of people who shared a single Religion the act was not against people of any race in particular, there were Czech Jew, Polish Jews and heck even German Jews. The hatred went beyond national lines and we saw this genocide. But 60 years on Jews are committing the same crimes in the name of religion, and this time not against their oppressors but rather against the only religion that has provided the longest protection to Jews in recorded History.
For those who think that religion has nothing to do with what we do should think twice.
May Allah have mercy on all those innocents and especially the children who went through this, May Allah let us help the oppressor by letting him know that he is an oppressor.

Ironically, holocaust not only took a horrific toll on the jews, but it also made them profoundly indifferent to the suffering of other, particularly those who have become the victim of Jews' own oppression. I sincerely hope that all those shedding rivers of tears in remembering the victims of the holocaust could spare a tear or a two for the poor dehumanized Palestinians.
If there were'nt any zionists in the world, we would have no bolshivek revolution, no stalin, no Hitler, no Mao, no Ho Chi Minh, no World Wars, no suffering vis-a-vis Middle Eastern conflict, no porn, and etc. etc. etc.
