It’s a endless list of good sad oldies. I could’ve easily add 10-20 songs to your list but in these war days I’m feeling more like boycotting everything which has to do anything with India… so no help from me
Great songs you have listed above..lemme add 2 of my most fav. old and sad song:
Zindagi Ka Safar Kuch To Log Kahenge Ge
“WatCh youR tHoughtS; they become words. WatCh youR wOrdS; they become actions. WatCh youR aCtiOns; they become habits. WatCh youR hAbiTs; they become character. WatCh youR chaRactEr; it becomes your dEsTinY."

Doesn't listening to sad songs when you're down make you feel more down?
hey good point.
But it makes me feel as though others have also gone through how i may be feeling; when i fail in choosing the right words to express it, it feels soothing to hear someone else express stuff in a way that i am able to totally relate to.
it's like these words from one of my fav. songs - just to hear the words being sung is some relief that someone understands; listening to cheerful songs on the contrary makes me feel more lonely:
meraa jiivan koraa kaagaz koraa hii rah gayaa
jo likhaa thaa aansuon ke sang bah gayaa
ik havaa kaa jhonkaa ayaa, tuutaa daalii se phuul
naa pavan kii naa chaman kii, kiskii hai ye bhuul
kho gai khushabuu havaa mein kuchh na rah gayaa
The music in my heart I bore long after it was heard no more ~ Wordsworth
