Sachin Tendulkar - The first interview of his life

What simplicity, what humility, what shyful confidence…“I don’t think I will have any trouble facing Marshall…”

An interview from 20 years ago :

Re: Sachin Tendulkar - The first interview of his life

he had so much of the marathi influence in his english before...extra stress on the t's, the d's...

but yea...its amazing how much subtle confidence he exhibited even at such a young age...seems like he believed in himself right from the start...sayin "This is just the beginning" when asked abt having to give a lot of interviews..

^Yes…his English is much refined now which is interesting considering he did not pursue any further formal education.

Good interview highlights, Some1 Jee.

When you are in front of the media answering their questions and taking criticism directly, you learn how to deal with the questions diplomatically and which ones to avoid answering directly and which ones to answer to the point. His English skills were fine, I thought. He answered some directly but he also dodged a few.

^ For a Marathi School drop-out, his English now is fantastic if you ask me.
