I heard that people in India litterally have made idols of Sachin and they worship him Is this true ???
I have seen Amitabh’s idol on net some time back a year ago may be. It was I guess in Calcutta where they worship him. But not sure about Sachin since I didn’t see any picture. Does anyone have any information on this???
Shuru ho gayee Sachin Bashing. Yaar tum logo ko ki obsession ka koi jawab nahin. Okay agar Sachin ko gaali dena hai to do, par doglapan chhor do, Ek thread pe boltey ho ki you admire Sachin aur dusre pe usko gaaliyan :)
Waise I have also heard that lot of people in Pakistan are planning to Idolize Wasim Akram and Worship him. Is that true ??
smooth_guy is just asking some information, however stupid you might think it might be. I don't think he implied any gaaliyaN against Sachin, even if the some people do worship him then it's not Sachin's fault but rather the peoples. Sachin is a talented batsmen, no doubt. Aap ko awain hi ghussa aa gaya.
Btw, in a recent match i saw someone holding up a sign reading "If cricket was religion, Sachin would be God." :)
Smoothieye - I am not Naraaz, You will feel the sting when I am :D . Anyways, In India Sachin is as popular as Mr. Bachchan and you wont need to ask anyone If there is an Idol of Sachin. I think it's still being sculpted :)
HumeiN gussa bilkul nahin aaya, Sachin bashing to Khel Khilari ka sabse popular topic hai, Agar Pakistan/India jeeti to Sachin ko Gaaliyan, Agar Pakistan/India Haare to Sachin ko Gaaliyan.
Btw - Sachin is not God, dont take those signs literally. They dont burn Gods' posters in India
Reminds me when I visited Taj Mahal and I saw a lady worshipping Shah Jahan and his Maliqa's grave, saying 'they were the gods of love'...
Well, since its a religious thing, we should respect their views...
btw asif, itna tappa na kar, that guy was just curious... People will only worship tendulkar if he is a good player, not vice versa, now your great player has not been bashed in anyway here...
If people worship sachin and amitab as they being god (tauba na aouzbillah) wondering what would they be asking for when they pray in front of sachin or amitab’s idol? hmmmmm…sachin je meray aulad nahi ho rahi (tauba na aouzbillah i am not asking this), mujay ek larki de dain aur usay indian women cricket team ke sachin tendulkri bana de
Wonder what the indian muslim who are cricket fanatics would think about this? (tauba na aouzbillah)
P.S. Mods plz don’t delete I am not making fun of this as I mentioned above I am just curious to find out. There are few more question I had but I am not asking cuz some stupids will start saying “sachin or indian bashing” Thanx
Only in India, people are stupid enough to worship a human being one day and burn his photo the next day.
Its one thing worshipping hindu gods but its another thing worshiping a human, when will these uncivilized bunch of idiots will learn, you just can't worship everything that shines.
“We are praising the cricketing skill of God as a person who can take a hat-trick, who can break partnerships, who can leap in the air and take catches and roll on the ground and stop boundaries,”
“God will steer them clear of the hurdles in front of them, I’m sure of that.”
"The reason right-handed batsmen VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid scored centuries at Eden Gardens was because the trunk of Ganesha was pointing to the right.
And now Ramakrishnan has the perfect solution for India’s left-handed batsmen - a Ganesha with two trunks, one pointing to the left and the other to the right. "
well I think you should not take the literal meaning of worshipping. Emotional reactions and their expressions depends a lot on context. Psychology of celebrating and attachment with your day to day life things depend a lot on the social context. And here in case of India , all wut u have said has similar meaning as they do in college football by making live mascots of teams and even president of the college salutes him. Well I hope u get the meaning!
India_Teen, I understand your point, I very admire the Pakistani players when they win a match for Pakistan, but like someone said above, Tendulkar is actually worshipped by some people in India as GOD!
