Re: Sachin and Lara: the tragic twilight!
Sachin is now where nearly as good a batsmen as Lara. If there is a tragedy in this twilight, it encompasses Lara alone. No one thinks of Sachine retiring as a tragedy at all. Unless you are a Sachin groupie! In my cricket Almanac:
