Sabayasachi Replica

Hello ladies! I am hoping somebody can help me out. Does anyone have a clear pic of the kaam on this sabayasachi dress that Deepika wore at IIFA a few years back? The lady who made me a blouse replicating this work is refusing to believe that it’s all work and saying its sequin and embroidery and made me a really lousy saree blouse that I can’t believe I payed $350 for. Please let me know if you can post some clear shots of the work so I can send it to her.

It’s the gold dress.

Re: Sabayasachi Replica

Maybe you guys can give me your opinions let me try and open my computer to post some pictures. :(

Re: Sabayasachi Replica

What kind of work do you mean?

Looking at the pics, it looks mostly sequin work (including those flower shaped sequins) and some thread work (french knots etc).

Re: Sabayasachi Replica

I guess I'm just trying to get a close up of the kaam on it. Definitely has sequins in there but it seems to be full with other kind of work that much more fuller and filled than what I have. It doesn't look right at all. I wish I could post pics from my phone.

Re: Sabayasachi Replica

You can see some little booti made with gold dhaga thrown in here and there, but mostly it does look like it’s full of randomly placed sequins http://www.devidesigns.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/IIFAMAGIC-8224.jpg

Re: Sabayasachi Replica

Can you also put up pics of your blouse.

Re: Sabayasachi Replica

Thank you everyone this is a big help!

Re: Sabayasachi Replica

That could definitely be done done in a lot more than sequince, french knot, chain, wasli ka kaam to give it that antique understated old school charm
