Saas ko tokna?

Re: Saas ko tokna?

I think its natural mom wants to get the best for their sons. They want the best outside and inside beauty. Physical attributes do matter to some point. When you have a choice to be with someone, first step is always to judge on outside (physical) beauty. Once you have acceptable physical beauty, then you look at her character and family etc.

Think about it. You are choosing a person. You only know so much about each picture (which will not tell you much about personality). You have start reducing your prospects through diffrent criteria. If you don't do it on physical beauty, it is impossible to find a good personality and then take things from there.
Its much easier (and faster) to decide on physical attribute and then go after personality.

Everything in this world is the way it is, for a reason :)

P.S: Don't worry, you will do the same, when you will be in the same position :LB:

Re: Saas ko tokna?

i dont think u should say anything...BUT

maybe if she makes another comment like that u should just make it into a joke and be lik...'is that the only reason' !! just make her realise that its all very petty..! thats what id do!

khawateen - I think I ROCK :) esp for being a mom - lets see what happens.

Actually I would want my child to be happy.

I agree looks are somewhat important. I wanted my husband to be tall, overall good looking but I wasn't going to speculate about his nose, and his eye lids, and what not. I think MIL are VERY picky when it comes to their sons.
They should care about whether the person that their sons is marrying is going to keep him and (all of them) happy

Re: Saas ko tokna?

you should be thankful that you were accepted by this mother in law! ;) but you can ask her to be bit softer on the girls.

as my mum wanted same kind of girl for me, kept looking for girls for years, when i selected one, she ran quickly and selected another one in haste and now sometime regrets :) as its not always looks and qualifications.

but why do you care.

Re: Saas ko tokna?

If she is into reading, just get some writeup about this from news paper, magazine etc and place it so that she ends up reading it. Secondly, tell this to your hubby and finally least you can do is not to take part in this parade !
