SA vs Aus - series

Australia won 1st T20.

H Amla was the captain!

Re: SA vs Aus - series

AB Devilliers was injured thats why he was the captain.

Oh and I forgot to watch the match. Really looking forward to this series. Last two series between them were outstanding.

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Too bad it's a short series but should be fantastic to watch, nevertheless.

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Didnt i opened a thread on this series earlier :konfused:

Anyhow SA looked rusty …They will improve soon

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Second ODI in progress. First rain shortened one was won by Australia.

SA is doing good in second one. 218-4 in 40 overs.

Re: SA vs Aus - series

SA finished with 303 …

Can Aus chase it down

Go SA Go :hbk:

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Australia mean business, sent Ponting as an opener!

tough chase though..

Re: SA vs Aus - series

^ they only sent Ponting as opener cuz Watson is injured while fielding.

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Ponting gone

Re: SA vs Aus - series

122/3 in 29 overs, Hussey gone as well..

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Someone should take knives out against MEK Hussey for 37 runs in 62 balls, as well as Warner 69 runs in 93 balls (ODI).

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Australia 176/6 (40.3 ov)

Re: SA vs Aus - series

The Test Series Starts (means real cricket) :D

South Africa win the toss and bowl first.

Hpefully this will prove to be a quality contest

Looks like Khwaja is sidelined for a while after his poor run in SL

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Nothings like a good contest between Bat & Ball :D

Steyn to Marsh, no run, welcome to Test cricket at Newlands, says Steyn! Back of a length at blistering pace and bending in, Marsh thought it was much shorter than that as he thought of ducking, and in the end takes a blow on the arm as he's caught in no man's land.

Shaun Marsh is in at 3.

Steyn to Watson, OUT, rip-snorter. Unplayable. Watson is gone, and he will look at the replays aghast. Steyn squares him up with a fierce away-swinger that as always angles in to land on leg and then goes away. It was too full for Watson to leave, and it moved too much for him to middle. It bangs the outer half of the blade as he gropes in search of the line, and balloons into the slips. Gone. Watson was made to look like a staggering drunk by the time the ball was done with him.

Things getting interesting :hehe:

Philander to Hughes, OUT, another stunner, not a bad way to get your first stick in Tests. Vernon wins the battle of the Phils. That’s 500 Test catches for Boucher, too! 498 of them for South Africa. Similar ball to the previous one, lands short of a length around middle and off and then goes away like a charm. This was pacier than before, Hughes gets squared up as he angles the face of the bat in hope, but the ball takes the edge and is into Bouch’s gloves in a flash.

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Aus and SA test series is normally no less interesting than ODI series. Attack and counter attack keep on going till one goes down.

Looking forward to watch 'jhalkiAAn' tonight.

Aus were 3 down for 40 yet they are still scoring at 3+ rate over all (and almost 5/over in last 10 overs). This is the attitude that has kept them No1 for so long. They rarely goes into the shell. Just because of that they have almost recovered in 1 hour (113/3).

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Awesome stuff by Steyn. #1 bowler in the world.

Re: SA vs Aus - series

Aussies reeling at 214/8

Re: SA vs Aus - series

If not for Clarke, this match would have been over on first day.

See this is the kind of aggressive cricket and attitude we lack. Hopefully they will grow together as a team.

Go stuff those aussies! :k:

I want Africa to win this test match
