Re: SA V India

Leekan maain jaag raha tha aur live commenry wallay forum par indian’s say gup shup kar raha tha and they were in :aj:

bara maza aaya :yahoo:

u c they played only two fast bowlers and just kept a long long long batting line … now what will be their next strategy :hmmm:

Re: SA V India

Ok, we lost the match, SA outplayed us in every department. Without Dravid & Laxman, our middle order is incapable of making even 200 runs. Its high time to find better replacement for them.

We never had a good bowling attack, always relied on our batting strength, and it failed in this match. Dhoni should have avoided the innings defeat.

Amla played a great innings, and Steyn was quick even in an Indian Pitch. Congrats SA. Well played.

That's the whole point. Good replacement are required. Look at what happened to WI and Pakistan when good players retired and no adequate replacements were at hand. You have just seen what could happen to India if proper replacements are not found.

Spot on, I don't know why Laxman is not in, he is the key in Indian batting lineup, having said that, it is about time that India should give chance to quality spinners, Harbajhan is not a class...

Anyway, better luck to all Indian fans in the next match... Hope Dhoni wins the toss...

Re: SA V India

Indian bowling attack only depends on Zaheer Khan ........who IMO is a nothing bowler too.....Harbhajan is over rated ...........Ishant is good for nothing .........even Kallis was bowling around 140 .....Ishant was bowling at 130 lol :D

Re: SA V India

Glimpse of what the future holds, when Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman all retire around the same time. And this was a batting-friendly pitch. Dravid is the guy that is really going to be the most difficult to replace - in a team of "strokeplayers", he was the rock around which innings could be built. Afraid most of the potential replacements are also "strokeplayers". Except possibly Pujara, but he doesnt seem to be favored currently.

Re: SA V India

Xypher...you can now cry whole night if you like.

As ehsan bhai and others have said, this is a window to the future of Indian national team. Without their ageing greats, India will be the next Pakistan. Even worse, because Pak atleast has some decent bowlers to rely on, which do bring victory in every 10th or 12th match.

This is a grave situation for a country with most resources in cricketing world. I see hundreds of tullybaaz....like Nazir and Raina knocking on the door.....but no Dravid or Inzi.

The wrath of T20.

10 on 10 ...........Tendularkar Dravid Inzi Ponting .......These cant be replaced forever

Re: SA V India

Oh what happened? An innings defeat to a batting powerhouse??

Re: SA V India

^ with two days to spare :hayaa:

Re: SA V India

What a whitewash :( Team India needed this kick in their pants to avoid becoming complacent and to get their act together.

I am very hopeful that they will be able to come back from this innings defeat.

Innings defeat at home in front of millions of diehard fans. That's more like a #1 team.

Indian batsmen need to step up and bail the cricket loving nation out with a draw in the next match.

Hopefully the indian curators will bounce back to repeat the heroics of Wankhede 2004 and Kanpur 2008

Get ready for a dustbowl spinner paradise.

Re: SA V India

^^ You got it. Courses for horses:-). Problem is given Harbhajan's recent form, not sure even that will do the trick.

I dont think it was complacency as much as that the team we had wasnt good enough. Vijay, Badrinath, and Saha are not adequate replacements for Dravid, Laxman, and Yuvraj. Laxman will be back for the second test, so will Sreesanth. I would play Laxman for Badrinath, and bring in either Kohli (or even Manish Pandey) for Saha. Unfortunately it will be Rohit Sharma (who has not been in good form recently) that will replace Saha. Sreesanth will probably come in for Ishant, which is OK. Problem is our spinners have not been that convincing recently. Still, I agree, this second test should be better - we've historically bounced back well after big defeats (even without the assistance of dodgy tracks - eg. 2003 Adelaide and 2007 Perth).
