I don't think Danish will be praying namaz, to my knowledge he is Hindu.

Its Kamran Akmal. The stand-in wicket-keeper :smack:

Nice to see the players praying :)

PCB did it to reduce security cost. It wont be easy to provide the promised security in all the cities. Plus I dont know if South Africa would have agreed to play in Quetta as it is not too far away from Afghanistan. And if they fear playing in Karachi I doubt they would have agreed to some place so close to Afghanistan.

and you think ,, other cities are secure...

Some1 made a very valueable point,, now anti Pakistan sources can do anything to make Pakistan's position more unstable in the cricket world

It doesnt matter what I think, what South African's think is what matters right now. We wanted this tour to take place at all costs. We have lost a lot of revenue due to security reasons. Once this tour takes place things should be a little more smooth. Rameez and Tauqir Zia have already said they will raise this point to the ICC that Intenratioanl teams need to start traveling all over Pakistan and not decline playing in specific cities.

were those cities in original itinerary? if not then very likely PCB used the same cities in original for security purposes. if you still have problem then complain it SA for their whining, it was not PCB's decision to exclude Karachi and Peshawar, they were forced to do it.

Arrey yaar! stop second guessing like some Hindians and enjoy the game.

Since Karachi is not on the list, I hope SAffies don’t take this as excuse for security and run away.

Karachi fans voice their anger](BBC SPORT | Cricket | Karachi fans voice their anger)

There will be no cricket against South Africa in Karachi
Karachi cricket fans have demonstrated against the exclusion of matches against South Africa.
About 150 people made their feelings known to onlookers.

They held placards which read "Karachi-ites are cricket crazy, and “Don’t take away Karachi as an international venue.”

“People in Karachi feel hugely deprived not to see South Africa play here,” national parliament member Nawab Mirza said.

Karachi City Cricket Association president Muneer Hussain said: "This is an injustice to the people of Karachi and we demand South African captain Graeme Smith bring his team to the city.

“We would make sure they play here without any trouble.”

However, on the same day a bomb exploded on board a bus in the city, wounding passengers.

City police chief Tariq Jamil did not indicate who might be behind the latest explosion but said the incident appeared to be an act of terrorism.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was forced to remove the city, which has 14 million inhabitants, from the itinerary after South Africa last week cancelled the tour.

After intense negotiations with the PCB the South African government agreed to a shortened tour with matches in Karachi and Peshawar off the schedule.

Violence-prone Karachi held its first one-day international for 16 months when Pakistan played Bangladesh on 21 September.

Revised itinerary: South Africa in Pakistan

New Zealand called off their tour after a suicide bomb blast outside their Karachi hotel killed 15 people in May 2002.

The PCB last week said they would fight to secure Karachi’s place as a cricket venue in an International Cricket Council meeting in the West Indies next month.

The South Africans arrive in Lahore on Tuesday and open their tour there with a one-day game against a City Nazim XI on 1 October.

They play the first of five one-day internationals in Lahore two days later before playing Tests in Lahore and Faisalabad.
