I have Samsung Galaxy S3 since Nov 2012. Its a very good phone and I have no issues with it.
Recently It just started draining the batter very quick. Before If I dont use it much it used to go 1.5 to 2 days. Now it hardly survives for the whole day. even if I dont use it at all.
Can someone tell me good settings, I have everything at minimal already.
Thanks for you help.
P.S phone is mostly connected to WIFI or mobile data but it used to be like that always.
For better battery management, the few things that I have found to be very helpful on the Galaxy are:
Screen brightness: Dim it down. 40% is sufficient for all practical purposes, unless you're in the sun. This will greatly increase the usage on charged battery.
GPS: Don't have GPS on all the time. I turn it on when I'm getting turn by turn directions, otherwise I keep the GPS off.
Powersaving Mode: Enable it.
Juice Defender: There is a free version available from Play Store. Install it. It basically manages and shuts down apps that drain your battery unnecessarily while not in use.
Uninstall any recently install app that you may not need.
Use Clean Master (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard) and clear the cache.
Do not play games on it more than 1 hr.
from 2012 till 2014 its also a lot time for these mobile phones. It depend how you used it and how is the life of the battery.
