So I looked at that education in I think the 1998 curriculum and in 2000some thing then now.
What is interesting
1998 curriculum + cell phone(text and pic ) = would have been accepted by conservatives and such.
But what has happened unlike conservatives and such, west was living out their lives.
So… they have developed new way, new terms… new dynamics in that particular area.
Which some of us may be aware of due to internet. Google. etc. Parents might not.
Those extreme things seems like have made or making space in every day life of live_your_life_to_fullest and such . For example. If you see trailer of movie “vacation 2015” father use term from todays schools, with out knowing the meaning. Upon using internet I found out.. world is indeed moving forward…
So that new education, deals with todays reality. Some one did very honest job putting it together, based on what goes on in live_to_fullest scenarios.
Now conservatives and such, missed out(couple decades) on that part, where world was moving forward.
Now they are stuck hard by preventive measures of what actually goes on.
Its like we back home hating doctors for giving us typhoid injections. When the typhoid is there in society.
he's saying that parents that are objecting to the new sex ed curriculum have missed out on or are not in touch with what's happening in the digital media world ..... they are not aware of the kinds of access/information/activity that is available to their kids these days and the resultant harm that kids can do to both themselves and those around them if they are not properly educated.

He's referring to the people that have lived with an "I could care less" mentality.....people who have chosen to ignore societal taboos against homosexuality, promiscuity, etc. (Basically people who have "enjoyed" or "accepted" a sexually active lifestyle without the confines of religion and/or culture.)
