We should campaign for one inning Test match. Once Hari, Abbas and Shabad return, there is no stopping us.
Lol, just keep increasing expectation level for others. Batsmen should hit centuries in both innings lol. But wait shan masood is good even in hes scored in only one inning, because of keeranchi I guess.
I agree, Sarfaraz has been horrible with bat and not so good captaining the Test team.
any crying about Poonjabi player Imamul Haq?
Shan Masood doesn’t look like a good player to me, averaged only 24.9 in 13 test matches, even in First Class he averages mediocre 33.9.
anybody wants to speak about sarfraz have to prove himself first a pro keeranchi. look at sub-title of following news.
Before I do this, let it be known that I am a born-and-bred Karachiite, and as big a Sarfraz Ahmed fan as any.

This is your mentality that everybody knows how narrow minded you are.
Well right now none of the other players matter as you see here just like in this thread, the haterz gang is all focused on one guy only, i.e. Sarfraz.
You know whats the ironic part: In this test the captains of both teams took a pair. And South African captain is a specialized batsman selected only on the merit of that.
Unlike Sarfraz who has to do the tough wicketkeeping job as well.
And yet SA defeated Pak by miles.
But nobody, like really nobody is saying that SA defeated Pak because they are a crazy good team. And Pak is a crazy bad test team. Thats so simple! I mean its not even a cricketing sense, its a common sense
But you see how hate can blindfold people.
Thats why as I said before this series, Sarfraz should give up captaincy and see if the next captain makes Pak #1 ranked team.
If we use this statemtent , what will be difference between us and the haters. for me if paistan become no. 1 with out sarfraz ( or for the matter with out any karachi player ) I will be very happy. But that should be on merit . Which we dont see mostly for karachi players for long.
I am sorry I my self suggested to press ignore button for our beloved ajaz bhai for his comments related to Sarfraz but i cannot avoid him
.
I am always saying that sarfraz to leave atleast one discpinle as captain rather board need to do so. This gives good opportunity to groom future captain.
As for his performance , he need to up his game . That is the reply to his critics and favour to his supporters.
It should be known to the people that most of the people support him not due to him being karachiatee rather due to his street smart cricket and braveness. It is not a too long when he was not being selected and waqar didnt liked him as coach. He came in the team and perfromed and so people start liking him.
IF he is not performing well he need to be out as no one can stay in the team for past glories…
The only and only criterion that should be out there to have a playing XI is performance. And only performance. That should be the merit. And thats the responsibility of selectors.
The fact of the matter is Pakistani batting is just getting weaker and weaker and hence causing all the havoc. The bowling is still ready to win matches but batsmen must give them something.
And thats why I dont even blame Pakistani tail even if they all get out on duck becuz thats not what they are for. They are selected for bowling and they should stick to it.
So the blame goes to batsmen and their inconsistency. Unless they start taking care of business what they are chosen for, nothing is going to change. And we’ll always have scapegoat captains.
@Moonstar201 why on earth an author has to give explanations regarding his ethnicity before writing something about a player of a particular ethnicity?
and what was the criteria for Sarfaraz to become Test captain?
- I believe author can reply better about it. May be he was supporting any player based on ethnic ground rather than cricketing grounds. I don?t think myself in line with him.
- Criteria for him being selected is very very clear. Once the senior players were gone he was he was the last one left having some brains about cricket as well as he has the guts of fighting at the crucial moments. He was never selected as batter. I believe author is very correct about sarfraz that he is a package player who contributes with keeping , strategy and playing short but pressure innings to finish the game. Once any of the trait is gone he need to compensate from other. Very much like Hafeez. Once he is bowling well , he bats with confidence as he has less pressure to perform solely with bat.
No one is and should be in dispensable ( whther sarfraz or Imam ul haq ) . Only it should be on cricketing ground.
And I don?t agree that sarfraz is avg. keeper. He is available best keeper. Rizwan has been given fair amount of chances . Though he is a great fielder but cannot give give as package hence not being selected.
No, Azhar could be requested to continue captaincy in test.
and in the recent times no other keeper batsman is tried.
Are you saying that despite his brilliant performance in tests we should not say anything against him. My criteria is not where our players are from but performance and sadly in tests Sarfraz lacks that vital quality. He should not be test captain. I dont care whether the player is from chicawatni or lalukhet, he has to perform. sarfraz in tests is sadly not up to it. yes he should be there as captain for ODI’s/T/20.
No EB I’m not saying that at all. Read my other posts again, I have always said performance is and should be the only criterio. Anyone who doesnt play well should be judged as per that.
So nobody is wrong when they say he isnt batting. But as long as you dont target him as the “only” reason for our batting collapse.
Now my point is, in current situation where batting line up fails, the wicketkeeper batsman doesnt make a big difference.
Look at Tim Paine. Same roles. Could he save Aussies from defeat by his batting? Not at all. He just cant.
Now look at SA captain, a top batsman, who scored ZERO in first test, both innnings same as Safraz. But their team is so solid that they delivered. In this tight situation, if you think Sarfraz’s 30-40 runs or may be 50-60 runs could have changed the result, I doubt that.
I would rather have Sarfraz there for the job he was appointed that is a wicket keeper. He isnt a specialized batsman so lower your expectation.
Now about captaincy, I’ve absolute no problem in stripping him of captaincy which btw is going to happen very soon no matter he scores or no.
This is the fighting spirit pak teams has got under Sarfraz, 57/5 in second test.

It was very much expected before the start of Test game that the SA will win because of the poor batting display of Pakistani batmen..
