I’d like to know if there are any Ryerson Business Management students here on GS.
I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I plan on graduating from college in Dec, 06 (insha’Allah) and then transferring on to Ryerson in January, 07. However, I’ve learned that Ryerson only accepts full-time students for Business Management during Fall.
I was wondering if there’s any way I can join Ryerson for Business Management part-time in January, 07 and then register again/continue full-time in September, 07.
If this is an option, would my Business Management courses that I take part-time from January, 07 to August, 07 be accepted/transferred onto the full-time Business Management program that I wish to join in September, 07?
I thought I’d ask around on GS since I’m looking for a quick answer. I’ll also try to get in touch with Ryerson, however, I’m sure they’ll advise me to check back sometime next year in order to inquire about admissions for Jan, 07. I simply can’t wait that long to plan ahead.
yeah sadiyah.. i applied for ryerson univeristy as well of bussiness management.. but i think iam going to seneca for a couple of semesters then transfering there...
Kaun is in Ryerson and i think he is in the same program... so the best way is to ask him about this ...

yes I am positive that you can. I have done similar thing.. although I m into ITManagement.. similar to Business management.. whereas that monkey.. “kaun” is in busines managment.
Yes, u can take a part time course and then transfer to full time, as long as the courses u took matches your program.

^ yeah bas dua karo, i think i have like 40% chance to come there.. but lets not loss hope.. but personaly i wanna go to seneca first cause they are offering me $2000 scholarship and they accepted me too .....
i think i should go to seneca for like a year then transfer to ryerson...

but for seneca i applied Applied bussiness - financial service managment

Attia, I believe Centennial College is more well-known for it's business program than Seneca. :)
Also, really think about it all before jumping the guns and attending college.
I thought I'd be done with college + uni in five years. However, it's going to take me approximately six years altogether just to get a Business Admin Co-Op Diploma + B.Comm degree, insha'Allah.
Confused Gadha, I heard the courses that I take towards the full-time B.Comm program won't count or they won't be added to the overall GPA. So I'm a little confused. Any clarifications?
^there are three main reasons for chosing seneca..
first of all i can easily get transfered to york or ryerson compare to centennial
second reason seneca's program tat i applied for really interests me
and third reason that centennial is asking me to write another english exam which iam tired of giving first york then ryerson and i really dont think it is worth it... because i have been living in canada for less than 4 years... this is my 3rd year so that is why for uni i have to write a test.. which i hate.. even though i passed york's test but still... :(
i also got offer from Humber college for e-bussiness.. but the problem with tat is in lakeshore campas... even though seneca is in newham but compare to Humber it is near to Maple where i live...
so iam just thinking either to go to seneca or Humber...
lets see wat happens..

Attia, for Centennial, everyone has to write the entrance English and Math test. They do it so that they can place you in appropriate classes for English and Math. It's not difficult at all. However, if you're living in the West end, then Centennial may be far for you.

and yeah it is far for me as well... bas tum dua karo that i get admission in ryerson... if not then seneca is like for sure... :)
hay tell me how is bussiness.... because i had no idea wat i should take..and suddenly all the courses that i took matched the prerequsite of bussiness.. so i took it ... my plan was to go for medical.. look they say that u never know wat has Allah decided for u...

Sadiyah.. as to what i know.. the courses should be counted towards your program as long as they are what is required.. also then as they would be counted, the GPA would also be counted.. but to confirm it is always better to ask the ryerson.. give them a call and they will provide the best info..
