Ok, so we should believe these guys because there non-muslim and from russia?
For you anything coming from a Muslim must be lie. So tell us why has no Chechen ever been convicted of those apartment bombings, and why do a lot of Russian people supsect the FSB to have been behind it?
More to the point, why do you think the Russians are not telling anyone what gas they used?

Not telling the doctors how to treat the people is ridiculous.
Akif, do you blame the Chechen hostage takers at all for what happen?
I blame the Chechen hostage takers for what they did. What they did was take several hundred people hostage, and kill a couple of them. The hostage situation was criminal, and also not productive for Chechnyas cause.
I dont blame them for 'all that happened', because they did not release that biological weapon in the theater.
I blame Putin for authorizing the release of that chemical weapon, and blame him for the deaths of the 118 people inside.

P.S. Welcome back AAG. :)

why must anything coming from a Muslim be a lie for me?? Because I fail to eye to eye with you? To you what makes a report true and what makes it false?

Your posts on this forum are proof for all to see.
Now try to answer the questions if you can? Why has no Chechen ever been charged with those apartment attacks?
And try to answer the question that you find the most difficult tot answer. Why are the Russians withholding information of what kind of chemical weapon they used to kille 116 hostages?
The risk to their lives ocurred when 50 people with bombs strapped to their bodies took them hostage and said they would blow everyone up if their demands were not met. I suppose whatever the Russians did would have put them at fault in the eyes of many.

Russia chemically gassed 116 hostages remember, not the Chechens. But who is putting the lives of the survivors (in critical condition) in danger now, by refusing to divulge what chemical weapon they used? Not the dead Chechens - but the Russians.

Malik73 because you don't agree with my posts you say that anything a Muslim says is a lie? I don't understand.
Are you sure no Chechen's have never been charged in connection with those apt. attacks? As far as Russia withholding the information about the gas I'm opposed to that and am sure we will find out why.
I don't know that I agree with what either side did.
I did think initially that all of the people in that theater were going to lose their lives once the Russian Special Forces made a move. I didn't think they would die by gassing. I thought the place would explode.
So its good that some were rescued. And horrible that so many lost their lives. We live in an ugly world.
It's obvious that the Russians weren't going to cave to terrorist demands. How could they? Caving would have just given a greenlight for more violent actions of this sort.
I wonder if the Avg Chechen mother or father agrees with the taking of hostages? I doubt it. And probobly the mothers of Russian soldiers are just as horrified. I know I would be.
The families of the victims are surely going to be angry about the tactics used.
The sad thing is that nothing has probobly changed. A vicious circle.
I've been wondering if what happend is gona change the outcome of Russia's attitude on the U.N. resolutions on Iraq. That worries me.

Almost all those 'charged' were done in absentia, and three years after those attacks no one has ever been convicted. The case remains open, as more stories come out of direct Russian involvement to justify an invasion of Chechnya.
The reason the Russians won't tell anyone what gas they used is because they used/tested a deadly chemical weapon that would cause uproar if confirmed.
I see all those who support the actions of the Russian govt, ignore my question. Like Old man said and you all pounced on....It is very easy for people to make statements about how a situation like this should be handled when the final decision is not theirs.
It is also very easy to dismiss the lives of humans, when sit miles away safe and sound.
Russian authorities now admitting that the death toll of hostages killed by poison gas has gone upto 150. Over 115 are still in critical condition in hospital intensive care.

Why not indeed, Malik? At least let the doctors and nurses know the properties of the chemical gas used so that no more lives are lost.
Have read that the Chechen's have a history of hostage taking.
Average American Girl, in your readings did you happen to come across any mention whatsoever of the actions of Russian forces vis-a-vis Chechen civilians (Grozny, i.e.)? Or is it all simply that Chechens are a bunch of crazed hostage-taking individuals?
