While blame for ill-state of Muslim countries lies at various things, the US bares prime responsibility in most instances.
It was the US which armed a maniac like Saddam in the first place. And US bares responsibility for Saddam's mass murder of thousands of Muslims when Saddam used WMD's against Iranians and Kurds, because these WMD's were supplied by the US itself.
It was the US which supported the occupation of Muslim first-Qiblah by Zionists.
