Despite reports of the contrary it seems that Russia is willing to support the U.S. and would accept a new resolution on Iraq. Another step in the right direction.
Oct. 2 — In an apparent breakthrough for U.S. diplomats, Russia’s foreign minister suggested Wednesday that Moscow may be willing to support a new U.N. resolution on Iraq if it helps the work of arms inspectors. Until now, Russia has insisted that the existing U.N. resolutions should be sufficient as long as Baghdad permitted the inspectors to resume their duties.
