**Residents of the Russian city of Perm are mourning the deaths of some 112 people in Friday’s nightclub fire, as the first funerals are held.**People attended a service at a city church and laid wreaths near the club.
Some expressed anger about lax fire regulations at the club, where the blaze was sparked by fireworks.
More than 140 people were injured at the Lame Horse club in the Ural mountains city, some 1,400km (870 miles) east of the capital Moscow.
The nightclub’s owner was one of several people arrested after the fire, officials said, adding that warnings about its safety had been ignored.
A memorial service was held in the city’s main church.
Nadezhda Zhizhina, the mother of victim Sergey, said she would pursue the nightclub owners through the courts.
“They should be punished to the maximum,” she said.
“We, of course, will not leave this case as it is, I will turn to the law.”
About 100 people attended the funeral of 26-year-old club barman Timur Parfiryev at a city cemetery, AFP news agency said. Two more funerals are taking place during the day.
Monday has been declared a national day of morning.
